about

Usually, we don't move by choice. We are moved. Displaced by a colonial army, like the RCMP in Canada's North, disrupting life for thousands of people to satisfy the needs of a hydroelectric company. Pushed by impending danger, like a mob of gaybashing frat boys liquored up after a UFC match in Seattle, compelling anyone outside their world to take the long way home. Forced by hard fact, like 'we can't live on 200 lempiras a week,' to risk everything on an attempt to get into the one place in the world worth avoiding at all costs - Arizona. But what if moving was a choice, if we were moving somewhere better? A stupid and fleeting fantasy, perhaps.
